I decided that I am going to try to keep track of what I do at my internship at Righteous Babe because.. this will probably be useful someday.
So far I have learned a lot of things that I had learned about in my Music Industry classes.
I have packed and shipped promo packages to venues
I have packed advance release CD packages addressed to radio stations (about 500 copies)
I packed all of the merch for a 2-3 week tour of Ani's. This included packing mostly t-shirts and cds... about 30 boxes worth.
I have worked an Ani DiFranco show at Babeville. I organized the guest list tickets and after show passes. I gave will call and guest list peeps their tickets.
I counted the money collected from the ticket sales for the concert mentioned above.
I worked on inventory for the store. This included counting all the Cds, vinyls, dvds, shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, magnets, patches, keychains, mugs, water bottles, bags, pants, baby clothes, bandannas. So many things. I organized a list of all of these things and had a talk with the President of the company about how to better organize the inventory sheets.
I modeled a new shirt for the Righteous Babe Store website.
I updated artists' facebooks and myspace and tour excel sheets.
I did research on wireless credit card processors for tour.
I did research on past setlists of artists.
That is all that I can remember right now.. but that is a lot !
